Keller Williams is an American guitar god hailing from Fredericksburg, VA. His very unique sound can likely be attributed to the fact that his guitar playing is self-taught. His music is made up of elements from many genres - most recognizable bluegrass, folk and funk.

It is of course somewhat strange that a fellow who makes his living driving around the country playing his guitar and singing needs to issue an Official Policy Statement on anything. Be that as it may, taping is a complicated reality so we need to make it clear what the rules are. We appreciate the efforts of the tapers and recognize their important contribution to the scene; these rules are no more than us explicitly laying out the usually unspoken agreement between artists and tapers.
Audience audio recordings of Keller Williams live performances are allowed for non-commercial purposes only as detailed below. Audience tapers, please be respectful of other showgoers by being as unobtrusive as reasonably possible. Beginning February 20, 2003 soundboard patches will NO LONGER be available.

Some venues forbid live recording and in these cases we must abide by their wishes.
